10am to 1pm (GMT) online.
Working with industry professionals to establish comfortable working practices.
We explore how we manage the physical interactions and how we create a genuinely negotiated and consensual space for work. We look at how we can meet these expectations in a way that maintains the integrity of your teaching. R&R are members of the Intimacy Practitioners Guild and through their classroom and rehearsal room experience explore these challenges. We will discuss ways in which we can set up our classrooms so that all in the room feel confident and prepared to engage in the work. A way to meet student's concerns and expectations while also helping us to protect ourselves and what we value in our teaching.

FEEDBACK
"What wonderful knowledge, wisdom, shared observations, antidotal experiences, conversations, the other participants comments, safe environment and your patience in answering my questions" (Emerita Assistant Dean for Student Affairs San Diego State University, 2024).
"it was excellent. Everything from how you organised it, to how it was delivered, to the content itself - excellent. Your clarity, candour and willingness to not only share your experience but also engage in the experience of others made the session rich not only with the information I received, but also in how I was able to participate. You created an environment that felt supportive and open, which I felt allowed me to ask questions and offer ideas without fear of professional embarrassment. We were a small but mighty cohort that came from different backgrounds and it really felt you were able to cater and engage with all of our learning quests. As a movement practitioner who works both in education and professionally, and who also does intimacy work as part of her practice, I felt both a colleague in the (zoom) room and a grateful student, and that was wonderful. (Angela participant, 2024).
"RC-Annie are one of the most well-known and experienced dramatic violence companies in the country, exemplified by their use of anecdote as teaching material, ensuring everything they recommend or teach is backed up by their comprehensive experience in rehearsal and production processes. Both Ruth and Rachel are personable and engaging tutors, enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable about their subject which means it is a genuine pleasure to spend a few hours in their (online) company. They aim to ensure that everyone leaves the workshop more confident in the subject than when they started so are happy to answer questions or discuss specific points relevant to particular people... Ruth and Rachel were mindful of the different perspectives of everyone as they moved through the material, often stopping to check that everyone understood specific jargon or to expand on a point for a specific need.” (2023 participant).
